About The Event
That's a Choice Comedy Showcase is back — and this edition has been officially designated the Even Gayer Edition. I have no notes.
Water Tower Distilling is a queer-friendly, women-owned craft distillery right in downtown Ypsilanti. Cocktails, mocktails, an industrial space that actually feels like something, and a crowd that shows up with a point of view. It's a bring-your-own-food venue — there may be a food truck on site, so check before you arrive.
I'll be doing 10 minutes of original material. The Bavarian-American take on gay married life, middle age, and the ongoing project of being a German in America who still has questions. Live standup, in a room full of people who have made choices — some of them excellent.
Ypsilanti is about 30 miles east of Ann Arbor and absolutely worth the trip.
