About The Event
I’m very excited to return to the Grand Rapids comedy scene for Stand-Up Comedy Night at Bold Cigar Lounge.
This show brings together a really strong lineup of comedians from across Michigan, hosted by Hayden Miedema, and I’m happy to be part of a night that mixes different comedic styles, perspectives, and levels of chaos into one room.
If you have never seen me before: I’m a German immigrant living in Michigan, which means most of my stand-up comedy comes from trying to understand American culture while simultaneously realizing how strange I sound to everybody around me. My material moves between immigrant life, queer marriage, Midwest absurdities, body image, anxiety, nightlife, politics, and the ongoing confusion of accidentally becoming emotionally attached to Culver’s and Menards.
My comedy style sits somewhere between observational stand-up, personal storytelling, social commentary, and a public nervous breakdown with punchlines.
